Because of recent surgery I am unable to attend the wake. I taught with Betty for many years. She was dedicated and devoted to her special ed students. She was always funny and happy.

Betty was a delight to be with, and will be sadly missed. Her love of books, lively conversation, and deep concern for her students was impressive and edifying. My name is Pat Walsh. I was just Betty's roommate at Columbia Presbyterian after my hip replacement. We had the same doctor. I grew up I in Inwood And lived on Sherman Avenue. We were so happy to be with each other since we had a lot in common. I also went to Good Shepherd School. I was a few years ahead of Betty. My family enjoyed meeting her as we did enjoy Matt and her friend. We left the hospital at the same time on Friday. When I called on Sunday to see how she was doing, I was shocked...
