My sincere condolences. Julian was the joy of my day at the Pfaudler Company in Rochester NY. So happy our lives intersected again a few years ago via FB. Love and peace.

Julian was a larger than life person who saw magic in the ordinary. Each photograph he took conveyed beauty and humanity. He was part of my work life at The Pfaudler Company in Rochester, New York, and when I moved from Upstate he helped me appreciate the small pleasures of living in NYC. He shared his baseball knowledge with enthusiasm. And he also shared his dear wife Maggie with me. His passion for life will be missed.

I loved Julian and appreciated his smarts, politics, energy, ability to see people, generosity, sense of humor and curiosity. We cherish the many beautifully shot photos of Julian's that we've been so lucky to have received. I appreciated his loving soul and his great love for Maggie. We had lots of fun times together and he will be missed.

Julian was one of my oldest friends. When we worked near each other we had a regular weekly lunch date at Olde Towne Bar. We also went to many Yankee games together, and it may be that Julian turned my son and me from Mets fans to Yankee fans. I also will never forget a trip we made with Julian and Maggie to Gettysburg, and the beginning of my becoming a Civil War buff. And one of the best experiences, was when I could hire him and we worked together on a packaging design project. Julian was always engaged, and enthusiastic about photography, and about life. He will be sorely missed.

My friend of 60 years…… we went through many things together, shared a love of music, cars ( Alfa Romeos, Porsches), painted houses with his Dad , shared a bandstand 6 nights a week for a year, a housemate ( he was a good cook!)and he was the type of friend who would pick right up where we left off after not talking for 6 months. We send our love and prayers to his wife Maggie and his sisters Mary, Patty and Kathryn…… he was a true friend and will be missed dearly…. Godspeed my friend until we see each other on the other side…….

One of my oldest memories of Julian is a photo, of course. When he and Maggie announced their marriage, their photo was classic Julian. No background to distract from his subjects, all eyes focused where he wanted them -- on his lovely bride and their shared smiles! Such a talent he shared with all. Prayers for Maggie and the rest of his family and friends.
