Dr. Nicholas T. Macris, of New Rochelle, NY. entered into rest on Wednesday November 4, 2015 at the Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx, he was 84 years old. Nicholas was born on October 27, 1931 in Brooklyn NY to Theodore and Cleonike (nee Gramatas). He was the former Chief of Allergy and Immunology at Lenox Hill hospital in Manhattan, Clinical Professor of Medicine-Weill Cornell Medical College, a Fellow of Rockefeller University and a Retired Air Force Captain. He is survived by his beloved wife Efstratia (nee Apicos) Macris,Loving father of Cleonike M. and her husband Evan C. Ziogas, Maria M. and her husband Michel Poulin and Theodore N. Macris and his cherished grandchildren Constantine and Nicole Ziogas. Dr Macris' Funeral Service will be celebrated on Monday November 9, 2015, 10:00AM at Holy Trinity GO Church, 10 Mill Road New Rochelle, NY. His Family will be present to receive friends 2-4 & 6-9PM on SUNDAY NOVEMBER 8, 2015 AT THE RIVERDALE FUNERAL HOME, 5044 BROADWAY, NY. NY 10034 CORNER OF W214th STREET. Interment Mt. Hope Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology Foundation www.aaaai.org. or Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church Sunday School program in his memory would be appreciated.
