Jeremiah McMahon of County Kerry, Ireland, entered into rest on Tuesday August 14, 2012 at the Hudson Valley Hospital Center. He was 82 yrs. old. He was formerly of 145 Vermilyea Avenue, in Inwood NYC. Mr. McMahon was born on September 18, 1929 in Ireland to Michael and Ellen (nee Lynes) McMahon. He served in the U.S. Army from 1951 to 1953 and was employed as a Driver for the Brinks Armored Car Service in New York City. Jeremiah is survived by his beloved wife Mary (nee Gormley) McMahon, two loving children Brian and his wife Bernadette McMahon of Putnam Valley, NY., Eileen McMahon of New York City. Two cherished grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. He also has 2 sisters in Ireland. A brother in Ireland died before him. His funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday August 17, at 10:00AM at The Good Shepherd RC Church located at the corner of Broadway and Isham Street in Inwood. The interment will follow in the Gate of Heaven Cemetery, in Valhalla, NY. His family will be present to receive friends on Thursday August 16, from 3-7 PM. her at the RIVERDALE FUNERAL HOME, 5044 Broadway at the corner of 214th Street.
