Obituary of Bessie Camarinos

100 Year Old Riverdale Resident Says Goodbye Bessie Camarinos, was an amazing Mother, Grandmother, friend, and co-worker. She loved life and lived her life well, by always showering people with love. She was born in Manhattan in 1916, graduated from Washington Irving High School, raised a family, moved to Riverdale in 1983, retired from City College C.U.N.Y., and devoted her life to her family and friends. Bessie loved to drive her car until the age of 97. Her favorite hobbies were cooking, entertaining, and the beach. She is a woman to celebrate! Bessie is survived by her son Louis, daughter Paulette, and granddaughter Vanessa. On Sunday, February 26th she will be resting from 2-8pm at the Riverdale Funeral Home, 5044 Broadway (214th Street), N.Y.C., N.Y. Church Services will be held at 11:30am on Monday, February 27th at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 10 Mill Road, New Rochelle, N.Y. Interment to follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery.
