Obituary of Costa Talleos

Costa Talleos aka Gus was born on January 17, 1935 to Eleni and Spiro Talleos in Manhattan NY. Initially lived in The Lower East Side of Manhattan until the age of 8 and then lived in Washington Heights, NY until his mid forties. Gus is the 2nd born of five children and is survived by his older sister, Alexandra Gikas, younger brothers; James Talleos and Fr. Christopher Talleos, and his younger sister, Margaret Rouskas. Gus joined the United States Marine Corp in the 50’s and lived in Japan and Korea during the Korean war. Gus is also survived by his wife, Mary of forty years and his children; Daniel Curtin, Deborah Kurilenko, Christina Talleos, and Robert Gerrard and his grandchildren; Dylan Twomey, Danielle Curtin, Laura, Nicholas, Aiden, and James Kurilenko, Angelika Rodgers, and Constantino Pavelchak.
Gus was a superintendent for over thirty years in The Kingsbridge section of The Bronx until he retired in 2005 and spent the rest of his years living in Riverdale with his wife. Gus gave us all love, amazing memories, and humor. He will be truly missed. The Family will be present to receive friends on Monday March 9, 2020 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. His funeral service will be celebrated on Tuesday March 10, 2020 at 10:00AM at St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Church, 124 Wadsworth Avenue, New York, NY 10040. The interment will follow in the family plot in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Hastings on Hudson, NY. MAY HIS MEMORY BE ETERNAL
