Obituary of Donald Waldemar Warming

Donald W. Warming, born April 10, 1921, in Westbrook, Maine passed away November 6, 2017 at the Schervier Nursing Care Center in Riverdale, NY. Mr. Warming, a WWII veteran, attended Westbrook H.S. and joined the Army in 1942. He was stationed in France where he served as a Technician in the 258th Engineer Combat Battalion until his honorable discharge in 1946. He met his wife, Virginia Pieper, while stationed at Camp Reynolds and married her after the war. They resided in Youngstown where he worked in interior design, eventually becoming part owner of the Crest Johnson Co. After retirement he was active as an honorable member of the Lion's Club. Living in Portland Maine 2005-2013, Donald renewed his artistic passion and had a one man show of his paintings at the age of 92. From 2013- present Donald and Virginia resided in an apartment near family in Riverdale, NY. He will be lovingly remembered for his artistic talents, quick wit, and his caring heart. He is survived by his wife, Virginia Warming and daughter and son-in-law, Kathleen and Michael Arle', Riverdale, NY, daughters Diane Warming, Portland, ME and Mary Patricia Warming, Berlin, Germany; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Reposing at Schervier Chapel, Riverdale, NY on Saturday 12:30pm - 1pm. Funeral Service to follow at 1pm.
