Mrs. Marika Chrisanthopoulos passed away on Thursday December 22, 2016 at her home in New York City. Mrs. Chrisanthopoulos lived in New York City since 1957 and had a career as a seamstress working for nearly 50 years on Lexington Avenue in Manhattan's Upper East Side. Mrs. Chrisanthopoulos was a widow for 21 years, after having been happily married to her husband George Chrisanthopoulos for 39 years. A devoted mother to her son Peter Chrisanthopoulos and his wife Vivi Giannisi; and her daughter Valerie DiPiazza and her husband Alfred DiPiazza. She was also a loving grandmother of Peter's four children, Marika, Jeanne, Athena and George. Her family will receive friends on Tuesday December 27, 2016 from 4-8PM at the Crestwood Funeral Home 445 W. 43rd St. NYC, between 9th and 10th Avenue. The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations in her memory be made to: Greek Orthodox Holy Trinity Cathedral 337 East 74th Street, New York, NY 10021 The Funeral will be held at the Greek Orthodox Holy Trinity Cathedral 337 East 74th Street, New York, NY 10021 on Wednesday December 28, 2016 at 10AM. Mrs. Chrisanthopoulos will be laid to rest at the Most Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Cemetery in East Hampton, NY 11937. The burial will be attended by immediate family only. May her memory be eternal.
