Dear Christina: I don't know if you remember me. I was a speech student of your father's and studied with him for many years while I lived in NYC pursuing my acting career. Ralph gave to me in so many immeasurable ways -- not only his expertise in his field of speech, but also sharing smaller things like his wonderful wheat waffles (gifted me with one of his waffle makers that I still use), with his humor, and his stories, oh, his stories. I assisted him in his workshops for businesses. We last saw each other while I was visiting Manhattan, in June or July of 2017. We sat on a park bench outside his apartment and spoke of everything under the sun (as always). I will treasure him forever and all that he imparted to me -- things that have improved me, and moved others with the skills that only he could teach. I wonder if you could tell me of the whereabouts of Pat. If you have a moment please email with contact info for her as I would like to send her my condolences. He is in my heart always. I loved Ralph Proodian. He was like a father to me. As a student in his classes in 1976, I learned from him and he helped me for years as I attended law school and afterwards. I attended his lessons and took care of him until the end. I was proud to be there and to attend his funeral, to be the executor and attorney for his estate and to make sure everything was handled properly. He gave me terrific advice and was my smartest professor, including law school and the great judges I have...

Of all the professors i had in my life, and i have a Juris Doctor Degree in Law with honors, no one came close to the ability, insight, knowledge and wisdom. He is the only person i have ever called a genius. Besides that he gave me invaluable guidance and was a key component to my life and success.
