Obituary of Maria Jimenez

Maria Jimenez loving known as “Tata” entered into rest on November 15th, 2020. She was born February 25th, 1938 in Dominican Republic. She is survived by her children, Marjorie & Lysander Jimenez. She is also survived by her 4 sisters, a brother, and 2 grandkids, Sebastian & Samuel. Maria was kindhearted and full of positivity. She always had a smile that would light up a room, was always there when someone needed her, always putting their needs before hers. Even more than a smart and loving woman, she was a supportive mother, grandmother, sister, and a beautiful friend. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, traveling with her daughter (wherever her daughter took her), participating in various church activities and she loved doing any sudoku she could get her hands on. Maria was a deeply religious woman who prayed daily for her family and friends. She was kind, caring and forgiving. May her memory be eternal. She will be missed by all. Maria was actively involved in the spiritual formation of many wonderful kids throughout her life and through her work with the Religious Education Program. In lieu of flowers, donations will be made to the St John-Visitation Religious Education Program. Unfortunately due to Covid-19 restrictions, we will not be able to host a repast after the interment. Reposing at Riverdale Funeral Home, Inc 5044 Broadway, NY on Thursday 5-8 pm. Funeral service to take place at St. John's Church, Kingsbridge on Friday 10am. Interment to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Valhalla, NY.
