Leopoldo R. Mejia, affectionately known as Patato to many, was born on July 9, 1952 in San Pedro de Macoris, Dominican Republic. Leo was a dedicated and loving husband to Ana Nova for thirty-nine years, adoring father to Alexa, Eunice and adopted daughter Wendy and doting grandfather to Marquis, Trysten, Indijhan, Blu, Vandy, Seven, Richie and Grayson . He was and always will be their ‘Papi Leo’. He was a loving brother to nine siblings, an extremely generous friend and a dedicated son. Leo was successful in his family owned bakery in the Dominican Republic followed by electrical engineer work in the United States prior to his retirement. Leo was bigger than life with his laughter and brought levity to any situation. He leaves behind many fond memories and will be truly missed.
