John J. Hummel formerly of the Inwood Section of Manhattan, entered into rest on Thursday May 8, 2014 at Calvary Hospital in the Bronx, he was 81 years old. Mr. Hummel was born on April 24, 1933 in New York to William Henry and Helen Mary nee (Concannon) Hummel.
John was a Purchasing Director for Continental Baking Company in Westchester and later the Vice President of American Yeast Sales in Manchester New Hampshire.
He is survived by his beloved Partner of 30 years Joan Rooney,three loving children, Jennifer, John and Brian Hummel. His dear sister Muriel Hummel and his cherished grandson Griffin. He is pre-deceased by two brothers William & Donald. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday May 12, 2014 at 10:00 AM at The Good Shepherd RC Church on the corner of Broadway and Isham Street in NYC.The family will be present to receive friends on Saturday May 10, 2014 from 3-7PM At The RIVERDALE FUNERAL HOME 5044 Broadway, NY NY 10034.
