Obituary of Eileen T. Quinn

Eileen Quinn (nee Brady) of Inwood, entered into rest on January 7, 2012 in Middletown NY. Ms. Brady was born on August 25, 1932 at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Manhattan to Joseph L. and Maureen P. (nee McCormack) Brady. Eileen was raised in Washington Heights and Inwood where she attended the local schools and graduated from Roosevelt High School.She married James J. Quinn on October 18, 1958 at the Good Shepherd RC Church in the Inwood section of Manhattan where the couple remained to raise their three children. Eileen and James retired to Ohio in 2002, she returned to New York in 2009 after his death.
Eileen was a community advocate, she was a member of the ladies auxiliary of the Knights of Columbus, Ancient order of Hibernians, Girl Scouts, Northern Manhattan Democratic Club where she was elected Judiciary representative and district leader.
Mrs. Quinn was a parishioner of Good Shepherd RC Church where she was also very active as Mercy auxiliary member, Basketball, Softball and swimming coach and organizer of the Good Shepherd bingo program.
She is the beloved wife of the late James; devoted mother of Robert and his wife Julie, Regina Murphy and Eileen C. Wilms. Dear mother in law of the late Craig Wilms. Adored grandmother of Carl, Caitlin,Sammy and Shana. Dear sister of James and Joseph Brady.
She will be missed by her family, friends and all who's life she touched.
There is a Memorial Gathering for friends and family scheduled for Friday January 13, from 3 to 6 PM. Here at THE RIVERDALE FUNERAL HOME INC., at 5044 Broadway @ the corner of 214th Street in the Inwood section of Manhattan
A memorial mass will be celebrated on Saturday January 14, 2012 at 2PM at the Good Shepherd RC Church at the corner of Broadway and Isham Street
In Lieu of flowers donations should be made to the Good Shepherd School, 620 Isham Street, New York, NY 10034 in her memory.
