Obituary of Ruddy B Tavarez

Ruddy B. Tavarez Fernandez September 30, 1961 - June 10, 2020 Ruddy B. Tavarez, 58, of Kingsbridge, NY, passed away suddenly Wednesday, June 10, 2020. Ruddy was the husband of Claudia (Santana) Tavarez to whom he was married for 30 years. Born in Santiago, Dominican Republic, September 30, 1961, Ruddy was the only son of Luz (Fernandez) and the late Apolinar Tavarez. He was a 1987 graduate of the UTESA School of Medicine earning an M.D. degree. Ruddy was in his 31st year of dedicated work at Mount Sinai St. Luke’s Hospital in New York City, where he will be deeply missed by his colleagues and peers. Ruddy loved travelling with his family, jogging, taking pictures; a lover of nature and a pillar among his family, he was a dedicated son, husband and father. He also enjoyed reading, music, spending his time with his two beloved daughters, who gave him so much joy. Ruddy was of Catholic Faith. Ruddy is survived by his mother; his loving wife, Claudia, his two daughters, Claudy and Carla both at home; his dear aunts and uncles, as well as his extended family and friends. Ruddy will be remembered as a gentle human being and a kind man with a bright and beautiful smile. Flowers will be received. Memorial Remembrances can be made in Ruddy’s memory to the American Heart Association.
