Obituary of Edwin Royer
Please share a memory of Edwin to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Edwin “ Nano or Edwincito” Royer, son to father Edwin Royer and Maribel Susaña was born on April 3rd, 1998 in Santo Domingo, Dom. Rep. He shared his childhood with his loving family including his sister, Emarine.
Growing up, Edwin had to move homes and switch schools with his family multiple times. The cities he lived in were Santo Domingo, D.R., Lawrence, MA, Miami, FL, Bronx, NY and Havelock, NC. His most precious childhood memories were shared with his family in the city of Lawrence, where he lived from 2001 to 2006.
After moving to New York City, he attended The Writing Academy where he did his junior high school years. The last two schools he attended were Martin Luther King H.S. for Law in Manhattan and Havelock High School in Havelock, NC.
At the age of 18 years old, Edwin joined the Airforce service training in San Antonio, TX. He was relocated to the Hurlburt Airforce Field in Pensacola, FL. He dedicated the last three years of his life as a hard-working, committed and respectful airman under the position of the 1SOCS (1st special operations communications squadron). Meanwhile he was majoring in Computer Science Knowledge Management in college.
Miserably, Edwin Royer passed away on January 14th, 2020 at 21 years old in the Hurlburt Airforce Base in Pensacola, Florida. Edwin has now joined all the other angels in heaven. Where he’s at peace as those were his last words.
Apart from being an admirable, caring, responsible, devoted son and brother, Edwincito was a loving cousin, nephew, grandson, and friend, who will be profoundly missed. Lots of people held Edwin in a special place in their hearts. Edwin had a very strong ambition to achieve his goals. He was a careful, responsible, studious, and talented young man who always cared about the wellbeing and happiness of those around him. He was so many things: A passionate pianist and reader, a skilled swimmer, a proud airman, and most importantly, Edwin was a loving role model to his sister, and hero to his parents. Not only is he honored for serving our Country, but his joy and serenity were infectious. His smile was a beauty to behold, and he will never be forgotten and will always be in our hearts guiding us. He’ll forever be his family’s guardian angel.
