Obituary of Nicholas Konstantinakos

Nicholas, also fondly known as Nick, Niko, or Niki, was born November 30, 1936 in Logastra, Sparti, Greece to John and Evanthia Konstantinakos. He is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years Maria Konstantinakos and loving daughters Evelyn (Evanthia) & Mike Tsugranis and Toula (Demetra) & John Athanasopoulos and his cherished grandchildren George Athanasopoulos, Sara (Smaroula) Tsugranis, Nicholas Athanasopoulos, and Kosta (Constantine) Tsugranis. He is survived by his brother, Efstratios Konstantinakos and sisters, Pota Stroumboulis and Eleni Dritsas and other relatives from Greece, Canada, and Australia. Nicholas deeply loved his wife, children, grandchildren, and family. He loved to cook and care for his garden, a passion he shared with his wife. He will be greatly missed by family and friends and will always be remembered for being a kind, gentle man who always had a smile and a kind word for all he met. A visitation for Nicholas is planned for Monday, November 9, from 12 PM to 1 PM and the funeral will immediately follow at St. Athanasios Greek Orthodox Church, 51 Paramus Road, Paramus, NJ 07652 with Interment to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, 1 Outwater Ln, Saddle Brook, NJ 07663.
