Obituary of Georgina Perez

Georgina Perez, affectionately known as “Norma,” was sent from God on February 22, 1934. Georgina was born in Ponce, Puerto Rico where she met her husband Ladislao Perez. They moved to New York shortly after where they were married and raised their three sons, Wilfredo Perez, Ladislao Perez, Jr, and Thomas Perez. Norma was no ordinary soul. Her infectious and witty spirit touched the lives of many in different ways. Her love was pure and unconditional. She judged no one and accepted all with open arms. With her compassionate heart, she was always there when someone needed a shoulder to cry on, a listening ear, an open door, or a good story to make them laugh. Even more than an incredibly witty and loving woman, she was a supportive mother, an amazing grandmother, a great-grandmother, a mother-in-law, and a beautiful friend. Her favorite pastime was spending time with family and hosting large gatherings at her apartment with loud/upbeat music, lots of dancing, tons of food, drinks, and of course, plenty and plenty of laughter. On November 6th, 2020, the Lord Almighty called her home. Norma will be remembered most by her animated personality and she leaves to cherish her memory her sons, Willie, Jay, and Sonny, her grandchildren Lisa, Billy, Freddy, Jessica, Christina, Joseph, and Christian, her great-grandchildren, Destiny, Justin, Angel, Brianna, Demayah, Dayson, and Xavier, and a host of family and friends.
