I only knew this man as Jose's and Manny's Dad. Everytime I made the trip on the subway from the Lincoln Center to Washington Heights to visit I was treated as the 3rd son. There was always a plate of food, he always had time to spare listening to a chatty Fordham University student, speaking of myself. Next to my great uncle Victor, God rest his soul, I looked up to this generation. They made the toughest jobs look easy, never complaining. Besides, what's the point, your going to miss...
