Obituary of Joan Marie O'Brien

Joan M. O'Brien of the Inwood section of Manhattan entered into rest on Saturday February 14, 2015 with her loving family at her side. Joan was a retired secretary who worked at the Saint Simon Stock School in the Bronx. She was the beloved wife of the late John O'Brien. Loving mother to John, Patricia, Frances, Stephen, Margaret and Christopher of the New York Fire Dept. She is an adored grandmother and great grandmother all of whom she loved dearly. Joan is the dear sister of, Arnold Allen, Sr. Patricia Allen R.S.M. and the late Frank Allen A true inspiration to all the lives she touched. Her family will be present to receive friends here at The Riverdale Funeral Home Inc. 5044 Broadway NYC @ the corner of 214th Street on Monday and Tuesday 4-8 PM. Mass of Christian burial at Good Shepherd R.C Church on Wednesday 10:30 AM. Burial to follow at St.Raymond Cemetery.
