Obituary of Nicholas W Hanges

Nicholas W. Hanges, of New York, NY entered into eternal rest on July 20, 2019. Beloved husband to Carol Hanges. A dear brother to Stewart Hanges. Nick was as a mathematics professor at Lehman College where he also served as Chairman of that department. Nicholas received a BS degree in mathematics from CCNY and a MS and PhD from Purdue University. He will be truly missed by his family and friends.
Visitation for Nick will be at the Riverdale Funeral Home Inc. 5044 Broadway @214th street NY, NY 10034 on Thursday July 25th from 5-8 PM. A chapel service will take place Friday July 26th at 10AM at the Funeral Home. Interment will then follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery Hastings-on-Hudson, New York. In lieu of flowers please donate to the Nicholas Hanges Scholarship Fund Lehman College CUNY Department of Mathematics Attn: Joseph Fera 250 Bedford Park Blvd. West Bronx, New York 10468. Checks can be made payable to Lehman College Math Dept. May His Memory Be Eternal!
