Obituary of Brenda Tatum

Brenda Patricia Tatum was born on August 31, 1949 to Taylor and Dorothy Tatum. She attended public and parochial schools. Brenda graduated from St. Brendan's High School. She earned an Associate's degree from the State University at Farmingdale. Brenda worked for several years at Bellevue Hospital in the dietary section. Later, she worked for over twenty five years at Sprint as a technician. Brenda was an excellent baker and made and sold jewelry. Brenda was creative and positive, a voracious reader, and generous. She listened to others and offered advice to those who would listen. Despite her physical limitations, Brenda kept going, planning, and creating. She loved going out with friends, going to the movies and concerts, and enjoying life. Brenda Tatum departed this world on Sunday, April 23rd 2017. She leaves a son, Daryl; two brothers, Emile and Warren; two sisters-in-law, Louise and Denise; a niece, Starlet, and a host of friends. Take your rest, Brenda. You fought the good fight with dignity and tenacity.
