Dear Joseph and To whom it may concern:
While we've probably never met (except maybe when Karen and I graduated from NYLS in 2002 at Lincoln Ctr), Karen and I were very good friends during our years in law school. She always had a smile on her face and was always upbeat, laughing, and talking about many different things - including her pet guinea pig. Sadly I never knew of her passing until now when I decided to look up her law registration on the NY State Unified Court System website and am so sorry my message is nearly a year late. Learning that Karen is no longer with us fills me with tremendous sadness and such a hole in my heart. If she is looking down from Heaven, I am sure she is at least smiling while I write this message. I only wish the very best for you and all her children and may Karen's memory be a blessing for us all.
Rest in peace, dear Karen. I miss you. Although we were only friends, I will never forget you and will always cherish the memories we had together at New York Law School and on the day of our graduation when you were literally jumping for joy! - All the best, Daryl Goodman, NYLS, Class of 2002
