Obituary of Paul Handrakis

Handrakis, Paul on October 20, 2013. Beloved husband of Helen (nee Sasse)and loving father of Karen & her husband Jeffrey Lotocke, John & his partner Mary Lou Dy, and Elaine Mandas. His grandchildren, Maria Mandas and Michael Pecache. Paul was born in New York City on December 22, 1926 and served in the Merchant Marines during and after World War II. After the merchant marines, he entered and graduated from City College. Completing his degree, he attended Teachers College at Columbia and got his Master Degree in Mathematics. He was a math professor and served in the New York City Public Schools as a math professor until his retirement. He resided in Yonkers NY. His funeral will be held at the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 10 Mill Road, New Rochelle, NY 10801 on Tuesday at 11 AM. The family will receive all those who wish to offer their condolences from 10-11 AM Tuesday at the Holy Trinity Church. Burial will follow at the Mt Hope Cemetery, Hastings-on-Hudson, NY. Directions to Holy Trinity are: Hutchinson Pkwy North to Exit 17(North Avenue). At light, make a left turn and the church will be on the left at the light. From the North, Exit Hutchinson Pkwy South to exit 18E (Mill Rd, North Ave) and continue to the light and the church will be on the right. From Cross County Pkway East, continue to the end and bear left onto Hutchinson Pkwy North and exit at exit 17 (North Ave) then make a left to the church on the left.
