James Canty Jr., Ph.D. on Aug 1. Loving husband of Eileen Maxwell, Ph.D., devoted father of Anne (m. Victor Quintana), the late Kathleen, James III (m. Mary Herel), Ned (m. Karen Shepherd), and proud grandfather of Katie and Christina. Born in Boston, graduate of Boston College High School, Boston College, and Fordham University, clinical psychologist at Seton Hall, Manhattan College, and Brooklyn, Bronx, and Montrose V.A. Passionate sailor, woodworker, gentleman and scholar. Visitation on Sunday, Aug 4, 2 -5pm and 7 - 9pm at Riverdale Funeral Home, 5044 Broadway @ 214th St. Funeral mass on Monday, Aug 5 at 10am at Corpus Christi Church, 529 W. 121st St., NY. In lieu of flowers contributions to Isabella Geriatric Center, 515 Audubon Ave, NY, NY or your favorite charity.
