Evelyn Barnes died peacefully on August 7, 2020 at Methodist Home in the Bronx, NY. She lived a long and happy and healthy life surrounded by her family. She was born on October 12, 1916 in the Dominican Republic to her parents, Luis and Ana Hazelhurst, who predeceased her. She is survived by her sister, Patria McCoy, and daughters Ann P Lammar, Melba Kelly, Miriam Kelly and son Luis Alfredo Jaime, and her late daughter, Noris Armstrong. She is also survived by her niece Olga Hodge and 14 Grandchildren, 18 Great Grandchildren and 8 Great, Great Grandchildren. She will have visiting hours 12:00 PM-1:00 PM at the Riverdale Funeral Home Inc at 5044 Broadway, NYC 10034. Interment will follow at the Woodlawn Cemetery, Bronx, NY.
