Obituary of Syrria Adwoa Adomah

Syrria Adomah passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 1, 2024 in Bronx, NY. She was born on September 23, 1957 in Kwahu, Ghana. Syrria is survived by her three daughters: Lawrencia Appiah, Jackline Manu and Theresah Adomah.  

Syrria attended Monroe College in the Bronx and later worked as a Nursing Assistant at St. Luke’s Roosevelt hospital from 1992 to 2019 where she ultimately retired.

Syrria was known for her kind heart and generosity- someone who always cared for the well-being of others. She was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need and put the needs of others before her own. Syrria was considered a SUPER MOM who cherished her daughters very deeply and would give them her last.

Syrria was a devout Christian who was committed to her religious beliefs. She faithfully attended Sunday church service and participated in weekly church calls. Her faith and devotion to the Lord was her foundation.

Her Family will be present to receive friends on Sunday December 15, 2024 from 4-6 PM . Her funeral service will commence at 6:00PM the Reverend Dr. Jeremy P. Cumberpatch Officiating. She will be laid to rest on Monday December 16, 2024 at The Oakland Cemetery in Yonkers NY.
