Obituary of Aspasia Pappas
Aspasia Pappas (nee Terzakis), 92 of Bronxville, NY, passed away peacefully on December 6, 2024, surrounded by family.
Born on May 30, 1932, in Mount Vernon, NY, Aspasia was the daughter of the late John and Katina Terzakis. She was educated in Mount Vernon schools and was a graduate of the Katherine Gibbs School in New York City.
Aspasia was the beloved wife of the late Andy Anton Pappas and the proud mother of Jennifer Gazis (Dean, deceased) and Gregory Pappas (Peggy). She was a loving grandmother of four and a great-grandmother of nine. She was a dear sister to Ann Pantazes and S. John Terzakis.
‘Espe’ was a life-long parishioner of The Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in New Rochelle, NY where she served as co-director of the Sunday School for many years and later served as an administrative assistant in the main office.
She was committed to her faith, family and friends. An avid baker and former semi-finalist in the Pillsbury Bake-Off, she will be especially remembered for her much loved Toll House chocolate chip cookies which she made, boxed and personally delivered to everyone during holidays and special occasions.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 11 for viewing at 10:00 a.m., at the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church,10 Mill Road in New Rochelle, NY immediately followed by a liturgy of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Beechwood Cemetery, 179 Beechwood Avenue in New Rochelle, NY.
