Athanasios Nicozisis was born on January 18, 1931 in Sopiki, Voriou Ipirou, to Dimitrios and Eugenia . He is survived by his wife, Stella, (nee Geropoulou) and two children, Demetrios and Magdalena Nicozisis and Eugenia and Demetrios Plousades. There are five grandchildren, Olivia, Victoria, Natalia, Elena and Alexandros. There are two surviving brothers, George and Georgia, and Louis and Helen. There are many nephews and nieces and cousins here and in various parts of the USA and in Greece. Funeral visitation will be held at the Riverdale Funeral Home Inc, located at 5044 Broadway corner of West 214th Street in New York City on Monday July 2, 2012 from 2-4&7-9PM. Funeral Services will be held at the Prophet Elias Greek Orthodox Church, 15 Leroy Avenue, Yonkers, NY on Tuesday July 3, 2012 at 11 AM with burial to follow at the Mt Hope Cemetery Hastings-on-Hudson, NY. There will be a Trisagion service Monday evening at 8PM and an AHEPA service to follow. Donations to Prophet Elias Church are preferred. A register book is available on line for those unable to attend.
