Obituary of Nemecia Brito
Our dear mother Nemecia Brito, lovingly known by her nickname Mencia, of Haines City, Florida went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on September 13, 2024. She was born in Jarabacoa, Dominican Republic on December 22, 1932. She was 91 years young.
She was a loving mother who was always there when we needed her the most, offering support, wisdom, and never-ending love. A friend to many, a cherished member in her community church in New York and Florida, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and spiritual strength.
One of her many joys was to read the bible, listen to worship music and hymns as well as speak to anyone in need of encouragement and advice. She loved to preach the gospel and fellowship with all who she encountered.
She was predeceased by Miguel (husband), Argentina (daughter), Alfredo (son), Aurora (daughter) and leaves behind seven children and their spouses, Miguel (Altagracia), Milagros (Wilfredo), Rafael, Eneroliza (Salvador), Samuel (Flor), David (Damaris), Ezequiel (Margie), twenty grandchildren, thirty-six great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren along with countless friends who felt her warmth and generosity.
Our beloved mother will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her, but we all take comfort in knowing that she is rejoicing in heaven celebrating in the presence of her Lord and Savior.
Her family will be present to receive friends on Sunday September 22, 2024, at the Riverdale Funeral Home Inc., 5044 Broadway,@ the corner of 214th Street in NYC (Iwood) from 4-8 PM .
“He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” Revelation 21:4
