Born on December 15, 1971, in New York, NY, Emmanuel was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend. He lived his life with deep love for his family and a strong commitment to his community.
Emmanuel was the beloved husband of Giselle Maniotis and a proud and loving father to Andrew Acevedo, Gabrielle Acevedo, and Elle Maniotis. He was the cherished son of Helen Maniotis, the dear brother of Leo Maniotis, and a loving uncle to his niece, Vasilia Maniotis.
A dedicated mentor and coach, Emmanuel proudly coached the Goya basketball team at St. John’s the Theologian in Tenafly. He poured his heart into guiding young athletes, teaching them not only the game of basketball but also the values of teamwork, discipline, and faith. His impact on the players and families he worked with will be remembered for years to come.
Emmanuel will be remembered for his strength, generosity, sense of humor, and unwavering dedication to those he loved. His presence filled every room with warmth, and his legacy lives on in the lives he touched.
