Reflections of Life

Franklin Christopher Jones was born and raised in Bronx, New York, on October 17, 1940 to Justine and Henry McCoy Jones. He was the second eldest of five children and affectionately known as Big Chris. He received his education in the Bronx and graduated from High School in 1958.

Franklin married Erma Jean Jennings in 1960 and from this union two sons Christopher and Anthony and one pre-deceased daughter, Melonie were born. Franklin was a freelance contractor. And he worked over 40 years. He loved to watch western movies and played military war games.

Franklin departed this life on June 9, 2024 at Kindred Hospital at the age of 83. He was pre-deceased by his siblings Deborah, Hank, Winston, Jimmy and his niece Tasha Jones. He leaves to mourn two sons Christopher and Anthony Jones. Two daughter-in-laws, Gail and Jackie Jones His grandchildren Melody Jones-Freese, Ebony Jones, Lashe, Wanya, Naquay, and Tajea Jones, Karrym, Shannon, and Emeka Jones. His niece, Katurah Jones, nephews Michael Jones and James Hurt. And a host of cousin’s and relatives and friends.
