Obituary of George Antiaris
It is with profound sadness and a heavy heart, we share that George Antiaris passed away peacefully in his home, surrounded by his loving family, on Sunday, May 26, 2024.
Beloved husband of Helen. Loving father of Anna and Christos Panopoulos, John Antiaris, Nick and Marisa Antiaris. Cherished grandfather of Panagiotis and Eliana Panopoulos and Augustinos Antiaris and Loving brother to Demetri.
George was born and raised in Socha, Sparta in Lakonia, Greece. He emigrated to the United States in 1967 and together with his father, mother and brother, worked his way up in the restaurant business as a restaurant owner operator. Later he also invested in real estate. He was proud to live the American Dream in the country he loved.
Never forgetting his roots, George traveled with his wife and children back to Greece often to pass on his deep love for his homeland and its rich culture.
George was blessed with the love of his family and friends.
Visitation will be held at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 10 Mill Road, New Rochelle, NY 10804 on Wednesday, May 29, 2024 from 10am to 11:30am.
Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, May 29, 2024 at 11:30 AM at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 10 Mill Road, New Rochelle, NY 10804.
Interment will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery, 50 Jackson Ave, Hastings On Hudson, NY, 10706.
