Walter W. Vavosa, 75, of Paramus, formerly of NY, NY, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 9, 2024. Before retiring, Walter worked for the Argo Corporation in New York City for 46 years. A veteran, he served for the US Army during Vietnam. He was a member of the Paramus board of Adjustments for 8 years, and served on the Paramus National Night Out Committee. He was an avid sports fan of the Yankees and Giants, he also enjoyed golf. Walter loved coaching both his son’s basketball teams for Paramus recreation.
Beloved husband of Maxine (nee Braaf), Loving father of Frederic and his fiancée, Suzanne Alter-Siemon, Nicole and her husband, Brian, and Matthew. Treasured brother of Francis “Frank” Vavosa. Predeceased by, his sister, Eileen, and brothers Lawrence “Shorty” And George.
To honor Walters request, the family will have a private cremation. A memorial service will be scheduled for a later date.
