To my grandma Blanca,
Saying goodbye is probably the most unfairest things we have to face in this beautiful lifetime god has granted us, you impacted so many lives with your grace your strength and independence you molded your kids to be the very best they could be with the resources you and grandpa fought so hard to obtain. You provided a home and love no one has all the answers but the fact that you brought your children to the states to give them a life you never had in my book stands for everything a mother is you put your kids in a position that their kids will never know the suffering you went through and that’s a sacrifice I will honor you for I love you and I know I wasn’t always around the corner to spend or hang out with you but just know there are pieces of you around this world aka FLORIDA lol that are always honoring you and living up to the MEZA name I cherish the times I have gotten to see you the times you have spoken to my children and the times I have just been able to sit next to you and see your soul blossom into happiness thank you for being you and staying true to yourself and being so devoted to your family I pray and know your without a doubt happy and healthy and with papi rest in heaven our angel and may you know how deeply loved you were by so many.

Blanca's spirit of adventure, zest for life and unique sense of humour touched us all. As Mami, she fulfilled the role with unconditional love and warmth; a privilege her grandchildren were sadly never able to experience. Regret lingers for unfilled talks, lost embraces; nonetheless, comfort is found in knowing she has found peace in a better place. Her absence weighs heavily on our hearts; we miss her deeply and cherish the love she left behind in ours.

To say I am grateful for you is an understatement. I thank God for the woman that he chose to be my Mom. There are so many things I want to voice. So much that I never understood until I became a Mom myself. I completely get it now. How much selflessness, love you gave your family. The fact that you put yourself last, time and time again to put your family first. Thank you for the nights you stayed up with me, rocked me to sleep, the days where you saw our first milestones, and cheered for us. Thank you for loving papi so much and for choosing your commitment to put God First in your marriage, when I know at times it wasn’t always easy. Thank you for the nights you stayed up late because you worried about the poor choices I had made in my life. The prayers over me, the tears when I rebelled. The thought and guidance you chose to mother me and my siblings. Thank you for the long days that you did so much, for the holidays you always spent in the kitchen all day cooking and cleaning. For working hard to bring in an income all while being a Mom. For sacrificing all the nice things you could have had and for putting our needs before yours. For the encouragement and praise you gave me and my siblings to follow our dreams. For the positivity and love that you woke up everyday to give. Thank you for the prayers when life was hard. Thank you for teaching me what’s most important in life. Thank you for loving my Daughter’s and husband so much. I can’t tell you how much joy it brings me. Thank you for being the strength in our family when life has been so incredibly hard. Thank you for all the times you put your family first and yourself last, it hasn’t gone unnoticed. You are my inspiration. Thank you for being our rock when we felt like life was literally going to break us. Thank you for your kindness, your love, and your incredible nurturing heart.
