Obituary of Peter Ellis

    Peter Ellis, born on Samos Island, Greece on January 10, 1925, passed away peacefully on March 8, 2024 at his home in Riverdale, NY. He is survived by his wife of 75 years Angela (Laios), his daughter Nikki Ellis Mileos (late George), cherished granddaughter Demetra Mileos (Nick Tsafos) and friends and family around the world.

    Peter graduated from Swathmore College and the Stevens Institute of Technology. He had a distinguished career at Nabisco including President of its European Research and Development Center in Chateau-Thierry, France. He served on the board of Atlantic Bank and was President of the Board of Trustees of Saint Spyridon Greek Orthodox Church as well as Chairman of its School Board. 

    Peter was bestowed the honor of being named an Archon of the Greek Orthodox Ecumenical Patriarchate. 

    Visitation will take place at St Spyridon Greek Othodox Church, 124 Wadsworth Ave. NY, NY on Monday, March 11, 2024 from 11am to 12pm.

Funeral Service will follow at 124 Wadsworth Ave. NY, NY at 12pm. Interment will be at Maple Grove Cemetery, 127-15 Kew Gardens Road, Queens NY 11415. 

    Donations in Peter's name may be made to St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Church.
