Theodore A. Mellides passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 20, 2017. Almost 82, Teddy, as his friends called him, spent most of his life living in Flushing, New York. Born in Queens, and most recently residing in Delray Beach, Florida. Teddy went to college at Farleigh Dickinson in New Jersey before becoming a furrier. A devoted son and brother, he was an avid Mets fan and active member of the Kastorian Society. He is survived by his brother George Mellides, sister Mary Martino, Brother in law -Frank Martino, 5 nieces, 1 nephew, 7 grand-nieces and 5 grand-nephews. He will be deeply missed.
The viewing will be held at Frederick Funeral Home in Flushing, New York on Thursday July 27 from 2-4 and 7-9. The funeral will take place at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church in Flushing, New York on Friday, July 28, at 9:30. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Kastorian Society in Whitestone, NY.
