Matthew “Buddy” McGee passed away peacefully into Eternal life on February 4, 2024. Survived by his wife, Mary (Clohessy). Beloved Father of Maureen (Ronald), Sean and Kevin (Jennifer). Cherished Grandfather of Conor (RIP), Caitlin, Molly, Fiona (soon to be son-in-law Aidan), Eamon, Shannon, Ryan, Liam and Dillon. Loving brother of Helene Cooney (Jim) and predeceased by Mary “Babs" Mannion. (Mara). Long time resident of Inwood, New York. Former member of Good Shepherd Gaelic Football Club, County Cavan Associations, Ancient Order of Hibernians, and Knights of Columbus. Buddy proudly served in the United States Army.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Aisling Irish Center Senior Citizen Program (https://aislingcenter.org/) in Buddy’s honor.

The family will welcome visitors to join in a celebration of Buddy’s life .Services are as follows:

Riverdale Funeral Home Thursday, February 8 2024 between the hours of 4pm-8pm.

Funeral Mass will be held at Good Shepherd Church on Saturday, February 10, 2024 at 10:00 AM.
