The Beauty of Flowers
Oh how we value the beauty of flowers,
Plucked in the prime of their bloom,
To make up a bouquet of the most prettiest of colors,
Beautifying the entirety of the room.
We love the beauty of the plucked flowers,
Although we understand it quite well,
That they must be taken from within the garden,
And chosen from the place where they dwell.
We miss the sight of these delightful flowers,
Gladdening those who knew of their name,
Recognizing the uniqueness of their lovely personage,
A hallmark of the presence they became.
We cry at the loss of our lovely flowers,
For we behold their absence in pain,
Yet in spite of our anguish we will come to find,
That our tears were never shed in vain.
But we must not be sad when God plucks His flowers,
Their beauty so bright and so fair,
For God passed by and was attracted to their color,
And decided not to leave them there.
For God has been gathering all of His flowers,
To preserve and keep them in love,
And now they are taken from us in the faith,
That they will make up the flower basket above.

To the children of Ms Esther, I had the pleasure of being your mother’s neighbor. We shared visits on my porch quite often. She was a wonderful person and shared portions of life with me in our chats. I loved to her accent. My life was blessed for having known her.

I am heartbroken. I just knew God was going to work a miracle. Still, I am also comforted in God's promise that one day soon, and very soon, we shall see our sweet sister Nurse again at the sea of glass where there will be no more pain, tears, sorrow, or cancer—my condolences to the family and love one. Rest in the arms of Jesus.

Esther was a strong, loving, humorous woman who loved her children, her God, her family and the people in her life. There was never a dull moment when you are in the presence of Ester Nurse. When she was sick she still prayed for us and gave words of encouragement.
Andy your mom is very proud of you. She may not be physically available to you now but she will always be by
your side. My condolences to you and your family. My her soul rest in peace.

I got to know Esther very well during our time together as members of Mt. Calvary SDA Church in Huntsville, Alabama. Great personality and thoughtful Bible student. She was very creative and an effective leader in the Sabbath School and Women Ministries. Gone too soon. RIP my sister.

Anderson, although I never had the honor of meeting your mom having the opportunity to get to know you and meet your immediate family has been a pleasure.
Moreover, when someone experiences the loss of a loved one, it's always difficult to find words of hope and comfort, so I'll just say, while your mom may no longer be physically present, please trust her spirit will forever guide and protect you all.

I will always remember Esther’s smile. She told us she was a queen and that is how I would address her. In spite of her pains, she was positive and she smiled through it all the while giving God the praise. When another Church member (Karen) and I visited her in the hospital, she encouraged us.
I used to share with her my homemade vegan banana, blueberry, and walnut muffins. Once she tasted it, she would ask me to bring the “famous muffins” to her meeting/activity.
Queen will forever remain in my heart and I plan to see her again!
God be praised!
