His siblings were dear to him, and he offered them support and guidance whenever possible, earning their love and respect as the family's patriarch in return.

Georges was known for his humor, infectious smile, reliability, and love for sports like basketball, soccer, and baseball. Yet above all, his dedication to Jehovah was paramount. Baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses for over 28 years, he served as an elder for over 12 years being appointed on May 23, 2011, and had the honor of serving alongside his youngest son, Georges Jr. Chery, on the body of Elders.

Throughout his lifetime, Georges enthusiastically preached the good news to all he met, embracing auxiliary pioneering whenever the opportunity arose. He was a father figure and friend to many, leaving a lasting impact on numerous lives. His generosity, humility, and love for people were among the many qualities that endeared him to others. Georges cherished spending time with his family and friends, and his admirable qualities served as a source of encouragement to the younger generation. Despite facing health challenges in his later years, Georges remained spiritually active, continuing his ministry, public witnessing, conducting Bible studies, and supporting others in their spiritual journey. He remained faithful to the very end, with firm belief in the Bible’s promise of a resurrection onto a Paradise earth (Psalms 37:29). As Jesus will soon call, Georges will answer (John 5:28,29), and we eagerly anticipate welcoming him back.
