Obituary of Constantina Sarris

Constantina Sarris entered into rest on May 10, 2023. 

Beloved step mother of Angela, Kari, and Detra Sarris. 

Visitation will be held at Holy Trinity Greek Cathedral, 337 E 74th Street, NY on Saturday from 12-12:30pm. Funeral service to follow at 12:30pm. Interment will occur at Woodlawn Cemetery, Bronx, NY. 

Dena was an incredibly courageous, positive-spirited, relentless, intellectually-stimulating class act who always maintained her exceptional sense of humor! Regardless of the challenges she was confronted with, Dena was determined to succeed and defy all odds….and that she did! As an elementary school teacher for 37 years, Dena was a natural-born and gifted leader, mentor and friend. Dena absolutely adored being married to Nicholas and treasured the life they shared. She enjoyed New York City’s culture, the Greek Orthodox Cathedral and numerous book clubs throughout her life. Although she outlived many family members and dear friends, there are many of us who feel a tremendous loss.  We will forever be grateful for the caring, warmth, thoughtfulness, wisdom, genuine laughter and love Dena brought into our lives. Dena, we love you dearly and you’re always and forever in our hearts.
