Obituary of Jacob Alexis Cuadra
On August 5th, 1991, Jacob Alexis Cuadra was born.
The first-born son and child to Alexis & Idaliz.
Jacob grew up in 207st, Post ave. During his young age, he had spent summers in Puerto Rico, jumping off cliffs into the lake, riding bikes and rollerblades around the block while his abuela watched from the window, making sure he didn’t fall. He spent time with his siblings, cousins, aunts and uncles, playing, laughing, and loving.
Jacob was full of life, energy and light, even before he entered this world. At 6 months, Jacob had complications in the womb. His mother prayed for a safe recovery, and searched for faith in the bible, where she came across the name Jacob often. She made a promise that day with God, if everything went well, she would name her son Jacob, and so she did.
Jacob loved playing with his younger sisters, and cousins. He grew up playing baseball with his cousin, even if he only liked it half of the time. Playing lion & zebras with his sisters where of course he was always the lion, like a true Leo. He enjoyed playing with all his sisters’ barbies and making then flip like ninjas. Jacob created cherished memories for our childhood.
Jacob spent a lot of time in the kitchen with his Abuela Hilda, where his love for cooking started. He created #MealsbyJake to represent his genuine passion for creating articulate masterpieces of a home cooked meal. He thrived in hospitality and loved livery. He prided himself on his presentation & appearance. Jacob loved nature hikes, his poodles & his family. He light up a room and changed the energy just by entering & saying “Hay”.
He is forever a beloved grandson, son, brother, cousin and friend to many and will be forever remembered.
Visitation will be held at Riverdale Funeral Home, Inc 5044 Broadway, New York, NY 10034 on Wednesday 4-8pm.
