Obituary of Louis Pascal Buongiorno

Louis Pascal Buongiorno passed peacefully on March 8, 2023. Preceded in death by Angela. Beloved husband of Patricia Seyfried. Loving father of Donna (Peter) Fornabaio, John (Karen) Buongiorno and Matthew Buongiorno, Eric (Karen) Seyfried and Doug (Sue) Seyfried. Cherished grandfather of Matthew Buongiorno, Danielle Fornabaio, Nicole (Kaleb) Smith, Nicolas Buongiorno, George Seyfried, Grace Seyfried, Doug Seyfried, Amelia Seyfried and Ava Seyfried. 

Louis was a lifelong New Yorker, proudly born in the Bronx, and a U.S. Navy Veteran. He attended Manhattan Prep and graduated from Manhattan College as a Civil Engineer. He had a long, successful career with Malcolm Pirnie and was named Engineer of the Year by the New York State Society of Professional Engineers. He was happiest spending time with his children and grandchildren. Louis was an avid baseball fan who attended the first and last games at Shea Stadium. In his spare time, he enjoyed reading, sending his loved ones newspaper clippings and playing golf.  

Friends and family may call at the Ballard-Durand Funeral Home, 72 E. Main St. Elmsford, NY 10523 on Friday, March 10, 2023 from 4 - 8 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday, March 11, 2023 at St. Pius X Church, 91 Secor Rd. Scarsdale, NY 10583 at 10:00 AM. Interment to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Valhalla, NY. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Pius X Church or Catholic Relief Services.
