Obituary of Maria Josefa 'Pepa' Gaudino

Maria Josefa 'Pepa' Gaudino entered into rest on January 27, 2023. Born in Mulas, Banes, Cuba, she was beloved wife of the late Alberto, loving mother of Mary and Annette, and cherished abuela to Nicholas and Isabella. Maria is also survived by nieces and nephews in Texas, Florida, Cuba and Italy, as well as many friends and neighbors in Riverdale, the Bronx, where she lived for the last 30 years.

A highly skilled seamstress, Maria spent four decades in the NYC garment industry, and filled her home and many others with her sewing, crochet and needlepoint. She was an avid reader, amazing cook, and kind, generous soul who is deeply missed.

Visitation will be held Friday, February 3rd, 4pm to 8pm at Riverdale Funeral Home.

Funeral Service will take place at St. John's Church, 3021 Kingsbridge Ave, Bronx, NY on Saturday, February 4th at 10am. Interment to follow at Rose Hills Memorial Park, 100 Mill Street, Putnam Valley, NY 10579.

María Josefa 'Pepa' Gaudino entró en descanso el 27 de enero de 2023. Nacida en Mulas, Banes, Cuba, fue la amada esposa del difunto Alberto, la amada madre de Mary y Annette, y la adorada abuela de Nicolás e Isabella. A María también le sobreviven sobrinas y sobrinos en Texas, Florida, Cuba e Italia, así como muchos amigos y vecinos en Riverdale, Bronx, donde vivió durante los últimos 30 años. Una costurera altamente calificada, María pasó cuatro décadas en la industria de la confección de Nueva York y llenó su hogar y muchos otros con su costura, ganchillo y punto de aguja. Era una ávida lectora, una cocinera increíble y un alma amable y generosa a la que extrañamos profundamente. El velorio se llevará a cabo el viernes 3 de febrero de 4:00 p. m. a 8:00 p. m. en Riverdale Funeral Home. El funeral se llevará a cabo en St. John's Church, 3021 Kingsbridge Ave, Bronx, NY el sábado 4 de febrero a las 10 a. m.
