Obituary of Amircal Benny Sosa

Amircal "Benny Sosa of New York, NY passed away on Jnauary 15,2023. 

Benny died peacefully with his wife Aida and daughter Melissa by his side.

Benny was born in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico on October 16, 1945 to Sergio and Maria

Sosa. He grew up on the Lower East Side of Manhattan and also served for a short time in

the United States Marine Corp. Benny had great love of watching war movies and black and 

white cowboy shows. He was always requesting his favorite foods and loved sweets. Benny

is survived by his loving wife of almost 54 years, , Aida Sosa, children, Melissa Cameron (Brian),

Steven Sosa and his beloved grandson, Anthony Melchiori.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 19, 2023 at Riverdale Funeral Home, 5044 Broadway, NY NY

from 3-7pm.

Interment will be at Calverton National Cemetery, 210 Princeton Boulevard, Calverton, NY 11933, January 20, 203 at 11:30am.
