Obituary of Susan Jackson
Susan was born Susan Bernadette Yarbrough September 20th 1956 in New York City to McCoy Yarbrough and Beatrice White.
She passed away peacefully on Saturday November 26th 2022 in New York.
Susan was a beautiful and loving woman who touched the lives of so many with
her charisma. A woman who took no shit, excuse my French, she dedicated her life to her family which was her son, daughter and husband Arthur Jackson. Susan was a prestigious woman in her own way. She spent some of her professional life working as a home attendant and working in CitiBank. Known for being strong and a survivor, Susan didn't get her nickname, what some liked to call her, "Big Sue" for nothing. Always boasting about her one and only son Jamal and her one and only daughter Sheena and her only grandson Ronnell and her dog Max, these are the 4 people/things that kept life joyful for her. She also nurtured life long relationships with neighbors and friends due to her fire-cracker spirit and realness she possessed. Susan was a soul that definitely will be missed. A beloved mother, grandmother, sister, wife and friend. Those left to cherish her memory and celebrate her life include: her son Jamal Jackson, daughter Sheena Jackson, grandson Ronnell Brunson Jr, her older brother McCoy Yarbrough, niece Charde Yarbrough, son in law Ronnell
Brunson, daughter in law Melvy Torres, two others that she looked at as daughters Farah Esteban and Timeaka Hall, best friends Nora Ramos and Belinda Buffalo, her dog Max and a host of other cousins, aunts, friends and neighbors.
Her Family will be present to receive friends here at the Riverdale Funeral Home at 5044 Broadway at the corner of 214 street in NYC the Inwood section of Manhattan.
Her Funeral service will be celebrated at Riverdale Funeral Home on Friday December 2, 2022 at 10 AM the Rev Dr Ana Faure Officiating
