Obituary of Jose A Garces Jr.

Jose A. Garces Jr. was born on July 25, 1970, in St. Luke's Women's Hospital, NYC, and while surrounded by family, he went on to be with the Lord and entered eternal rest on November 10, 2022.

Jose attended Incarnation Elementary School and Cardinal Hayes High School, after which he enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps., where he became a Communications Specialist. He would eventually attend BMCC and Lehman College to learn the tenets of business. Jose was known for his strong sense of family, entrepreneurial spirit, and overall discipline.

Jose is survived by his beloved mother, Yvelisse Fanith, and his wife, Angela West Garces. He was a loving father to Daniel-Kevern, Joseph-David, Hannah-Leah, and Michael-Angelo Garces; Cherished brother of Ivette Fanith-Frost (David), J. Teddy Garces (Austin), J. Stavros Garces (Annelle); Adored Uncle of Eva-Rose, Alyssa, Emma, Luke, Christian, Corey, and Gavin.  He is also survived by Daniel's Mother Dale Marie Wilson and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and Godchildren. Jose was preceded in death by his father, Jose A. Garces Sr., his grandfather Ramon Contreras, and grandmother Rosa Emilia Fanith. He rests because of the Blood of the Lamb, and we will see him again!

Family and Friends may visit the Riverdale Funeral Home, 5044 Broadway, New York, NY 10034, on Thursday, November 17, 2022, from 5 pm to 8 pm. Interment will take place at Calverton National Cemetery, Wading River, NY 11792, on Friday, November 18, 2022, at 12pm.
