Obituary of Raymond Luciano Diaz

Raymond Luciano Diaz, 71, of New York, passed away on the early morning of September 24, 2022. 

He was born to parents Rosa Elena Luciano Torres and Arcilio Diaz Maldonado on August 10, 1951 in Ponce, Puerto Rico. Arriving in New York City while very young, Raymond lived most of his life in the Bronx. He met his partner Carol, of whom he is predeceased by, in the 1980's and together they had two daughters. Raymond loved driving, taking his daughters on many special outings on the weekends throughout their childhood and teenage years, his favorite being City Island in the Bronx. 

His humor, laughter and spirit will be missed but never forgotten. He will forever live on in the hearts of all he touched in this lifetime. Survived by his daughters Melissa Jenny Diaz, Justine Claire Diaz, grandson Attilio Joseph Daros, his sisters Millie Diaz-Jimenez, Maria Esther Diaz-Mendez, Jody Diaz-Luciano, Nancy Diaz-Smith, and brother Erion Diaz. He is predeceased by his parents, Rosa Elena Luciano Torres, Arcilio Diaz Maldonado, brothers Arcilio Diaz Luciano, Joseph Diaz Luciano, and partner Carol Ann Cartagena. 

Visitation will be at the Riverdale Funeral Home 5044 Broadway, New York, NY 10034 on Tuesday, September 27, 2022 from 4pm to 8pm.

Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, September 28, 2022 at Good Shepherd Church,Isham and Broadway, New York, NY 10034 at 10:00am.

Interment to follow at Saint Raymonds Cemetery, 2600 Lafayette Avenue, Bronx,  NY 10465.
