Obituary of John Breheny

John Patrick Breheny, born June 1, 1964 in New York, NY, died from complications of pneumonia on September 3, 2022 at the age of 58. John was a long time resident of Inwood until recent years. John is predeceased by his father, John (Aka Sean) Breheny, mother, Maureen (Cunningham) Breheny and brother, Kevin Breheny. John leaves behind sisters: Patricia Breheny, Angela Dauerer and Caroline Kennedy and brother, Stephen Breheny. He also leaves behind many nieces, a nephew, grandnieces and grandnephews. John was injured during military training exercises in September 1983, and spent the remainder of his life wheelchair bound. Visitation will be at the Riverdale Funeral Home, 5044 Broadway, New York, NY 10034 on Wednesday, September 7, 2022 from 4pm to 8pm.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at Good Shepherd Church, 4967 Broadway, New York, NY 10034 on Thursday September 8, 2022 at 10am.

Burial will be at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 10 W Stevens Ave, Hawthorne, NY 10532 on Thursday September 8, 2022 at 11:30am.
