Obituary of Crusita Beato
It’s with a heavy heart that we announce the loss of Crusita Beato on Friday July 8th, 2022 at 11:24pm. Crusita was 84 years old. She was born in the Dominican Republic on May 3rd, 1938 to the late Casilda and Francisco. Beloved mother, the best grandmother, sweetest great grandmother, adored sister and friend to many.
Crusita grew up in the Dominican Republic where she spent part of her early adult years. Crusita leaves behind three sisters, one brother and will now join her older sister in heaven. Crusita moved from her hometown in the Dominican Republic in the early 80s to start a new life in New York City. She lived on 137th Street in Harlem for over three decades and she enjoyed her community very much. Crusita worked as a clothing presser for many years in Mid-Town NYC. Her commute to work was filled with NYC 80s, & 90s culture. She took the 1 train to work each day and would always stop at her local bodega for fresh vegetable/food to prepare dinner. Crusita was known for her cooking skills, every Saturday she and one of her sister would open their home for family gatherings. She made the best rice and beans.
Crusita spent a lot of her quality time with her granddaughters Betty & Yeimis Aquino. She instilled family values which her granddaughters today appreciate. Every summer Crusita devoted her annual vacation to taking her granddaughters back to her hometown of the Dominican Republic. During this time she was able to introduce her grandkids to her Dominican culture that was filled with traveling the Island, exploring traditional island foods and more importantly visiting extended family. Crusita was also blessed to be a great grandmother which she cherished. She loved her great grand babies Lisbeth Aquino, Mila Clark, Madison Reid and Alexander Reid. There was nothing more joyful to Crusita than spending time with her grand and great grand kids.
Crusita had a green thumb she loved plants. She loved music and loved to dance; her favorite was merengue and bachata music. She had moves that were killers on the dance floor. Her presence will be missed tremendously but her soul will live on.

Es con gran pesar anunciar la pérdida de Crusita Beato el viernes 8 de julio del 2022 a las 11:24 pm. Crusita tenía 84 años de edad, nació en la República Dominicana el 3 de mayo del 1938. Hija de Casilda y Francisco. Cruz, carinosamente como la llamavamos, era una amada Madre, la mejor Abuela, la bisabuela más dulce, una adorada Hermana y una carinosa amiga.
Crusita creció en la República Dominicana, donde pasó parte de sus primeros años de adulta. Crusita deja atrás a tres hermanas y un hermano. y se unirá a su hermana mayor en el cielo. Crusita se mudó de su ciudad natal, la República Dominicana a principios de los años 80 para comenzar una nueva vida en el área de la ciudad de Nueva York. Vivió en la calle 137 en Harlem durante más de tres décadas y disfrutó mucho de su comunidad. Crusita trabajó como prensadora de ropa durante muchos años en Mid-Town NYC. Su viaje al trabajo estaba lleno de diferentes culturasdurante los años 80 y 90 de Nueva York, de los cuales hizos grandes amigos de diferente paises. Cruz tomaba siempre el tren 1 al trabajo todos los días y siempre se detenía en su bodega local para comprar verduras / alimentos frescos y otros productos para preparar la cena. Crusita era conocida por sus habilidades culinarias, todos los sábados ella y una de sus hermanas abrian la puerta su casa para reuniones familiares. Ella hicia el mejor arroz y las mejores habichuelas.
Crusita pasó gran parte de su tiempo de calidad con sus nietas Betty y Yeimis Aquino. Ella inculcó valores familiares que sus nietas hoy aprecian. Cada verano, Crusita dedicaba sus vacaciones anuales a llevar a sus nietas de regreso a su ciudad natal de la República Dominicana. Durante este tiempo, pudo presentar a sus nietas su cultura dominicana por la isla. Juntas exploraban las comidas tradicionales de la isla y, lo que es más importante, visitar a la familia extendida. Crusita también tuvo la bendición de ser una bisabuela que apreciaba a sus bisnietos. Amaba a sus bisnietos Lisbeth Aquino, Mila Clark, Madison Reid y Alexander Reid. No había nada más alegre para Crusita que pasar tiempo con sus nietos y bisnietos.
Crusita tenía un gran amor las plantas, ella siempre sembraba plantas las cuales adornada su habitacion. Ella amaba la música y le encantaba bailar; su favorita música era merengue y bachata. Tenía movimientos que eran asesinos en la pista de baile. Su presencia se extrañará tremendamente, pero su alma vivirá.
