Obituary of Eugenia Harbilas

Eugenia (Jean) Harbilas passed peacefully on December 30, 2020. A resident of Ft. Lee, New Jersey, and former longtime resident of Washington Heights, New York where she was a lifelong member of the St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Church as well as a lifelong member and President of the Ladies Philoptochos of the Church where she helped so many in need! Jean is survived by her loving brother Peter(Elaine) Harbilas. A Cherished cousin to the late Arthur(Eleni) Jiavaras. A beloved Aunt to Joanna and Michael Butti, Chris Harbilas, Nicholas/Fr. Sofronios Jiavaras and Michael Jiavaras. A Loving Great Aunt to Nicholas and Alexander Butti and Amaya and Jason Jiavaras. She will be dearly missed by many other loving relatives here and in Greece. Friends and family will gather at St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Church 124 Wadsworth Avenue New York, New York on Monday January 4, 2021 from 10:30 AM - 11:00 AM. Funeral Service at the Church to immediately follow at 11:00 AM. Interment at Mount Olivet Cemetery will be Private. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Church, or to the Ladies Philoptochos Society of St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Church at 124 Wadsworth Avenue New York, NY 10033 in Memory of Eugenia Harbilas.
